What SmarTone spending are eligible to automatically earn 1 The Point bonus point for every HK$2 spent?

SmarTone customers’ eligible spending includes mobile service, 5G home broadband, value-added service, roaming, fibre broadband, HomePhone+, and the purchase of handsets and accessories, all of which can earn The Point bonus points. Prepaid cards and services paid by the company’s account are not eligible to earn points.
How do I earn The Point bonus points?

You must be a SmarTone Plus and The Point member at the same time, with both accounts registered and bound with the same mobile number to earn 1 The Point bonus point for every HK$2 eligible spending at SmarTone.
When spending at SmarTone stores, the mobile number of SmarTone Plus membership card must be presented to our staff; when spending online, you must login with your SmarTone mobile number/ LogInNow user name. The Point bonus points earned via these two ways of spending will be credited to your The Point account within 10 days.
Points earned from monthly service plan bills will be credited within 10 days of bill cut-off date.
(Earn 1 The Point bonus point for every $1 spent at designated SmarTone stores in The Point participating malls: Earn 1 basic point for every HK$1 spent (applicable to any spending receipt amount equivalent to or higher than HK$1, while any amount under HK$1 will not be counted). Eligible receipts include the receipts of purchase of designated handsets and accessories (including the receipts paid by cash. For installment payment, the full amount listed on the merchant’s machine-printed receipt will be counted towards redemption. I am the primary cardholder of “5G” / ”Super Family Plan”, can I earn The Point bonus points with my friends and family?

Yes, simply bind your (primary SIM) SmarTone Plus and The Point accounts, your family/ friends can then automatically earn The Point bonus points with eligible spending. Points earned will be saved in your The Point account.
I am the secondary cardholder of “5G” / ”Super Family Plan” , can I earn The Point bonus points?

Once your family/friend (primary cardholder) registers as The Point member and binds their SmarTone Plus and The Point accounts, you will also earn points by purchasing products. Points earned will be saved in his/her The Point account.
I have several mobile numbers or other service plans (e.g., Home 5G Broadband, HomePhone+ or Fibre Broadband), can I earn points on them?

Yes. Please select one of the service plans and bind it to your The Point account using its registered or contact number. Upon successful binding, you can automatically earn The Point bonus points for every HK$2 eligible spending .
If I were to refund after buying handsets or accessories, what would happen to the The Point bonus points I’d earned?

The relevant points will not be credited into your The Point account; if they were, the system would automatically revoke the points.
Do The Point bonus points have an expiry date?

Yes, The Point bonus points have 2 expiry dates each year: 31 March and 30 September.
- Points earned from 1 October of previous year to 31 March of current year will expire on 31 March of the following year;
- Points earned from 1 April to 30 September of current year will expire on 30 September of the following year.
- Please redeem and use all the points before the expiry date; expired points will be forfeited automatically. For details of terms and conditions, please visit The Point website or mobile app.
Are The Point bonus points transferrable?

No.
Can I use a different mobile number to bind with my Point account if I have more than one?

Yes, you can click on “The Point” on the homepage of
SmarTone CARE App, click on The Point total points to get
into point record, then click
to change the primary cardholder mobile number that binds
with The Point account. Please note, The Point bonus
points earned on the original primary cardholder’s mobile
number will not be transferred to the new The Point
account with the new primary cardholder’s mobile number.
If I spent at SmarTone within December 2022 but did not bind SmarTone Plus and The Point accounts, can I still earn points on that eligible spending if I bind at a later time?

As long as you complete the binding of SmarTone Plus and The Point accounts before 31 December, your spending in December can still earn you points. The points will be credited to your The Point account on 31 January 2023.
What rewards can I redeem with The Point bonus points?

The Point bonus points can be spent as cash at over 2,000 merchants in 25 designated SHKP malls in Hong Kong; used to redeem free parking, dining rewards and more; or simply pick your favourite gifts from The Point App!
How can I see how many The Point bonus points I've earned?

If you have bound The Point account, SmarTone CARE App will show your total The Point bonus points, and the record of points earned at SmarTone under your name. To learn more about The Point bonus points earned via other merchants, please check The Point App.
If you are a secondary cardholder of “5G” / “Super Family Plan”, the points earned will be shown in SmarTone CARE App of your primary cardholder.
